This is my Grandmothers Father ::
Alexander Carrick

Born 1850 - died 2 June 1912 age 62 at Meadowside, Longriggend
Parents were - James Carrick (Coal miner) & Janet Russell (d.21 Dec 1899)
He married Jane Stirling on December 5, 1874 at Greengairs in Lanarkshire

John :: died 6 Feb 1892 age 6 3/4 years

The Family plot is at New Monkland Cemetary near Airdrie
As a matter of interest, the Census of 1851 shows that Alexander, then age 2 months had 5 brothers and 2 sisters ages 2-4-6-8-10-12 and 14
His older brother William then age 10 is down as a coal miner !! and his brother James age 12 is a Cotton weaver. Hard times !!
